Joyce's background is as a Director of Human Resource/Training. She has her PHR (Professional Human Resource Certificate) from SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management). She is currently a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, Chair City Toastmasters and High Point Area Personnel Association.

She is past President of Chair City Toastmasters (2000-2001), past President of High Point Personnel Association (2001-2002 and 2003-2004).

Joyce is currently serving on the Board of Directors for High Point Area Personnel Association. She is a member of the JSEC Committee. Through her fifteen years of experience in HR/Training she realizes that people need to be motivated both personally and professionally.
